Goals

To establish a system so that willing persons can make their little contributions to society right from where they are. United Humankind Organization (U.H.O.) is to be an umbrella for unified initiatives to make society secure, just, and responsive, through well-orchestrated Citizens' Action Groups.

• Establish a system of communication among private citizens with positive attitude so that information and opinions can flow from the central United Humankind Organization to the National Chapters, to the State or Provincial Chapters, and in this way to the Neighborhood Chapters, and vice versa. [E-mail system between two adjacent levels will accomplish this.]
• By using existing channels of communication, newsletters, gatherings, or personal contacts, UHO will educate society on the most successful initiative for society or individuals; point out meaningless customs or conventions and inefficiencies and suggest changes; make known to all whatever useful idea or experience exists anywhere; promote the solidarity of far-sighted people and increase spirit of volunteerism; encourage a culture of (1) hope and inspiration, (2) thinking and analyzing, (3) pride in goodness; discuss thousands of items in human lives in a way that runs counter to the widespread convictions that failure is inevitable and goodness is impossible to exist in daily life. Continuously praise and honor individuals for any act of goodness.
• Then, people can wisely decide together what is good for us. All what I am trying to do is to establish (1) a system of communication among people with positive attitude to interact and decide, and (2) a well-orchestrated network of citizens' action groups to be able to act effectively.
• Specific actions of a Chapter will depend on the problems and priorities of the involved region, the wishes of the volunteers and donors, resources available for that Chapter,and the mode of interaction among adjacent levels. At least in the beginning, action without much support from all concerned would be avoided. More emphasis will be given to tackling root problems in communities. For what is beyond the scope of lower level Chapters, an upper level Chapter or central UHO will get involved.
• Take all steps possible to see that youngsters are properly raised to be responsible citizens. Volunteerism itself helps character building; it provides oppotunities to be inspired by role models through direct contacts. Make attempts to influence potential delinquents towards becoming a hero in noble deeds rather than in crimes. A person honored in a gathering or allowed to give a speech will generally try to maintain a better image.
• Provide information services in as many areas as possible of use to citizens
• The proposed network will provide such a structure that just by a phone call, an e-mail, or a stop at a place, any individual can have behind him/her for justice the whole community, region, etc. up to the nation or the central UHO, if needed. Nobody has to suffer all alone. Just the existence of such an arrangement will eliminate most of the evil, inefficiency, hassle, unresponsiveness, etc. Currently, we can talk about remedy theoretically only. Practically, there is really not much help available.
